Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Southside Elementary is closed until April 10th, 2020. As time passes, central office will continue to update staff and parents of future actions. At this time, much of our student learning is happening through packets or digital learning. Hopefully this site can help you navigate any questions you may have regarding 504 and GT at Southside Elementary. While school is closed all after school and extracurricular activities have also been cancelled.

Governor Greg Abbott is using his statutory authority as the governor of Texas under Texas Government Code, §418.016 to suspend annual academic assessment requirements for the remainder of the 2019–2020 school year. STAAR CANCELLED!

CISD will be closed until May 4th, if the closure needs to be extended, the CISD website and automated call system will update teachers and families.
